What is Vitamin B5?

Vitamin B5, also known as Pantothenic acid is best described as a member of the B-Complex family of vitamins. As with all the B-Complex family of vitamins, Pantothenic Acid is required to help break down carbohydrates and produce energy.

What does Vitamin B5 do?

Vitamin B5 acts as a part of the B-complex family of vitamins. There is very little to distinguish this vitamin in terms of it's ability to treat diseases or conditions-though many claims have been made regarding it's effectiveness in treating some conditions, there is no research currently available to support these claims.

U.S RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) for Vitamin B5

Vitamin B5 is a water soluble vitamin. As a water soluble vitamin, there is little danger of toxicity related to overuse with this vitamin, but it's use should be discussed with your health professional before any enhanced program or dosage is undertaken.
